Easy DIY Shabby Chiffon Flower Lampshade
Hey guys! Earlier this week I posted a DIY for an upcycled lamp made from a vintage cookie tin. Today I wanted to share the how to for the lampshade that I made for it. This lampshade was super easy and fun. It took less than twenty minutes to whip up too!
Here’s What You Need:
*Small Lampshade
*3-4 Yards of Large Chiffon Flower Trim (I bought mine Here)
*Scissors
*Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue
Instructions:
This really couldn’t get much easier. First, gather your supplies. Grab your trim. Cut your flower trim apart, so you end up with tons of single chiffon flowers. Now you are ready to glue. Apply a nice amount of hot glue to the wrong side of your chiffon flower. Then glue the flower down to the lampshade. I started at the top and worked my way down. Glue each flower next to the previous and continue around your lampshade in rings until you reach the bottom. Fill in any thin areas with a flower. Once your lampshade is filled with flowers you are ready to add it to your lamp and enjoy!
Isn’t it so darned cute! I LOVE it! I really can’t believe how easy it was too. I want to make a bunch more now! This little flower lampshade is a great way to update your favorite lamp. I hope some of you guys will give this one a try, you’ll love it! I’ll be back next week with another fun DIY. Until then…
Happy Crafting!
I didn’t leave a comment earlier this week about your wonderful lamp made from that old green tin, but I love it! And your flower covered shade is pretty adorable, too! Just for laughs, check out the lamp on my last post: http://daranger911.blogspot.com/2014/09/coat-check.html
You have great taste in lamps! 🙂
