Kitschmas Gifts- Nail Polish “Ladies”
Hi guys! Today is December 1st, are you excited! I get to start my advent calendar! Today I am going to share a fun craft to do with your gals or to gift to your gals as a little advent gift or as a stocking stuffer. These nail polish girls I found in a vintage 1963 issue of Pack O Fun Magazine. They were just too fun, I couldn’t resist! My mom and I made a little batch together and we had a blast! Check em’ out:
Here’s What You Need:
*Nail Polish
*Woden Cap Heads ( Michaels)
*Fabric Scraps
*Paint and paint brushes
*Glue Gun and Hot Glue Sticks
*Needle and Thread
Here’s the original:
Start by painting your faces. Set them aside to dry.
Cut strips of fabric to be the height of the nail polish glass bottle and then the width x2. I made mine 1.25″x6″ . Run a running stitch through the top edge of the strip and then gather the fabric into a ruffled “skirt.”
Glue the head onto the top of the nail polish cap.
Glue the skirt around the top of the glass bottle.
Aren’t they so funny! I don’t know if this is going to make them hard to use, but it is a really fun little gift. You can easily change up the look of them just by the styling you use in your painting and also the fabrics you use. They are really fun to whip up! I’ll be back tomorrow with another fun DIY. Until then…
Happy Crafting!
