Last Minute DIY Stocking Holders

Last Minute DIY Stocking Holders

DSC_6359 DSC_6358Hi guys! So, I couldn’t resist sharing just one more Christmas decor craft with you all, so I decided to squeeze this one in today. Recently I picked up these adorable wooden stocking holders from the dollar section at Target and thought they would be really fun to decorate! It is really easy to take something simple like this and make it fantastic!

Here’s What You Need:

*Wooden Stocking Holders ( Target)

*Paint

*Vintage Christmas Cards

*Foam Board

*Scissors

*Craft Knife

*Hot Glue

Instructions:

DSC_6321 DSC_6326 DSC_6327The first thing you need to do is touch up any areas you need with paint and add any stripes or design that you want. Once that dries, find a Christmas Card you like.  Cut out the design from the card with your scissors. Cut out strips about a half inch wide of your foam board with your craft knife. Cut smaller strips and glue them to the back of your cut outs. Then glue the cut outs to the stocking holder. Easy peasy!

DSC_6361 DSC_6363I think these little stocking holders are just adorable! I think they are really cute on a fireplace mantel but would be equally as sweet on a shelf. So, next time you are at Target, pick up a few for your own home and add a little special touch to them. They will be a keepsake for years to come. I’ll be back tomorrow with a fun holiday wrapping idea. Until then…

Happy Crafting!
