DIY Vintage Wrapping Paper Present Christmas Centerpiece

christmas cube floralDSC_5841DSC_5844Hi guys! I am super excited to share todays post with you! I am part of FloraCraft’s Christmas Blitz this year and I have had the opportunity to take one of their fantastic projects from their Holiday EBook and make a special version to share with you. There were lots of fun projects in the EBook, but the one I kept coming back to was the Gold Dipped Cube Arrangement. I have never actually made a floral arrangement before, but I thought it would be fun to try my hand at it and I knew that this would be perfect for my home by using some vintage Christmas wrapping paper!

Here’s What You Need:

*FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: 5″ Cube

*Vintage Christmas Wrapping Paper

*Glitter Tape

*Poinsettia Stems

*Various Small Christmas Floral Picks

*FloraCraft® Diamond Dust® Glitter

*Spray Adhesive

*Ruler

*Pencil

*Scissors

*Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

*Floral Wire Snips

Instructions:

DSC_5771The first thing you will need to do is wrap your cube. Measure and mark your wrapping paper to be larger than the width or your cube. I made mine 6.5″x20.5″.

DSC_5772Glue one end of your wrapping paper to the middle of one side of the cube. You will want the bottom and top edge to overlap the top and bottom a little for wrapping. Wrap the paper around the cube and glue down the other end at the first end overlapping a little if you can.

DSC_5772 DSC_5773Fold in the sides of the paper on the top of the cube. Glue them down to the top. Then fold over the other two sides on the top and glue down.

DSC_5774Do the same with the bottom of the cube. Now your cube is wrapped.

DSC_5775Wrap the glitter tape at the bottom edge of the cube. Glue ends together for extra hold.

DSC_5776Now you are ready to add your stems. I added my smaller stems at the corners and then cut my flowers shorter and stuck them into the foam around the smaller stems.

DSC_5777Spray the floral area with spray adhesive close to the petals and leaves. Sprinkle with lots of the Diamond Dust and then tap off the excess.

DSC_5831 DSC_5854 DSC_5838 DSC_5845I really had a blast making this little cube arrangement! It was really easy and I love that it looks like a present! I have it as a centerpiece on my entry table with some candles and it is already getting a lot of compliments! I love the Diamond Dust accents on the flowers too! I am a huge fan of Diamond Dust. If you guys have never used this glitter, you should definitely give it a try. It is like glass and gives everything a beautiful sparkle! I use it in my bell jars, on ornaments, to glitter figurines and candles. It is simply gorgeous! I hope you all will give this project a try yourself this Christmas! You can see the original project as well as several more adorable holiday DIY’s in the FloraCraft 2015 Holiday EBook: Make it Fun Holiday Here. Be sure to check out the FloraCraft website too, and you can follow along on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube. I’ll be back soon with more crafty fun. Until then…

Happy Crafting!
